Russell Stover 16U head coach Jason Herter has accepted an assistant coaching position with the USHL's expansion Fargo Force. Coach Herter's tireless efforts both behind the bench and on the recruiting trail on behalf of Russell Stover Hockey will be missed.  For Coach Herter this move is a bit of a homecoming as he was a standout defensemen for the University of North Dakota from 1989 to 1991.

Russell Stover Hockey would like to wish Jason and his family, Lauri, Jordan and Jake all the best in Fargo.

Russell Stover 18U defeated Omaha 7-1 & 8-0 and will represent the Midwest Region at the Central District Tournament in Chicago. The two wins also give head coach Pat Ferschweiler 150 career Midget AAA wins in just four seasons.

Russell Stover 16U defeated Omaha 4-3 & 4-1 to also represent the Midwest Region at the Central District tournament in Chicago.

Russell Stover 18U went 3-1 this weekend at the Gold Medal Classic in Madison WI.

Russell Stover 18U concluded a pair of games in Madison, WI going 2-0 against the home town Capitols. Russell Stover 16U also played two games against the Capitols 16U team going 1-0-1.

Up next for both teams is the Team Illinois Thanksgiving Day Tournament in Chicago.

Russell Stover 18U claimed the Upper Midwest Elite League Playoff title today going 3-0 with victories against #4 Team Great Plains, #1 Team Northeast and #2 Team Wisconsin. Russell Stover 18U is at home this coming weekend against the St. Louis Jr. Blues.

Russell Stover 16U is set to compete in the Nike/Bauer Invitational this weekend in Chicago.

Russell Stover 18U forward Scott Winkler has been rated as a 'B' player by Central Scouting, an exclusive scouting agency used by the NHL. A B rating indicates the player is a likely 3rd to 5th round choice. Scott is currently positioned in the 5th round at #132 overall.

Russell Stover 18U completed competing at the Beantown Classic going 3-1. On the season Russell Stover 18U is 18-3-1.

Russell Stover 16U also rounded out its Beantown Classic with a 2-1-1 record. The 16U team is 7-5-3 on the season.
